WINTER TIRES

Ontario winters don't forgive all-season tires. We'll make sure yours are ready before the first snowfall.

WHAT IS WINTER TIRES?

All-season tires are built for mild conditions. Below 7°C, the rubber compound in an all-season tire starts to harden, reducing grip, increasing braking distances, and making your vehicle harder to control. On Mississauga roads in January, that's not a minor difference. It's the difference between stopping safely at a light on Hurontario and not.

Winter tires use a softer rubber compound specifically engineered to stay flexible in cold temperatures, combined with tread patterns designed to channel snow and slush away from the contact patch and bite into ice. The performance difference compared to all-seasons in winter conditions is significant, and most Ontario insurance companies recognise this with a discount for winter tire users.

At Hive, we carry winter tires and can help you select the right option for your vehicle and your budget. We're not going to push the most expensive tire on the shelf. We're going to tell you what actually makes sense for how and where you drive. Get in before October. Every year, people wait until the first snowfall and then can't get an appointment anywhere in Mississauga.

DON'T WAIT FOR THE FIRST SNOWFALL.

How It Works

SIMPLE PROCESS.

Getting winter-ready takes one visit. Here is how we handle it from the moment you pull up.

01

CONSULT

Tell us your vehicle make, model, and year. We'll recommend winter tire options that fit your vehicle and your budget. Honest advice.

02

SELECTION

Correct tire size and load rating confirmed before anything is ordered or mounted. Wrong size tires are a safety issue. We don't skip this step.

03

MOUNT & BALANCE

Winter tires mounted onto your rims, balanced properly. Every wheel balanced before it goes on.

04

INSTALL & TORQUE

Mounted tires installed, lug nuts torqued to manufacturer spec, TPMS sensors checked and reset if needed.

05

TAKE YOUR ALL-SEASONS

We don't store tires on-site. You take your all-season set home and we'll remind you to bring them back in spring.
