WHAT IS WHEEL BALANCING?

Wheel balancing is the most skipped maintenance item on most vehicles, and one of the most damaging to ignore. When a wheel is even slightly off-balance, it creates vibration that compounds at speed. That vibration doesn't just make for an uncomfortable drive. It accelerates tread wear, puts stress on your suspension, and eventually starts affecting your steering precision.

At Hive, we balance wheels properly using equipment that identifies exactly where the imbalance is and how much counterweight is needed to correct it. It's not a guessing game. The machine tells us precisely what to do, and we do it. The whole process takes 30–45 minutes for a full set and makes an immediate difference you can feel the moment you pull out of our lot.

We recommend balancing with every tire change, every seasonal swap, and every 10,000–12,000 km regardless of whether you notice symptoms yet. By the time you're feeling vibration, the uneven wear has already started. Catching it early saves your tires and saves you money on a replacement you didn't need to buy yet.

How It Works

SIMPLE PROCESS.

The whole process takes 30 to 45 minutes. Here is exactly what we do to every wheel before it goes back on your car.

WHEELS COME OFF

All four wheels removed. We check rims for damage and existing counterweights before starting.

MOUNT ON THE BALANCER

Each wheel mounted on our balancing machine individually. The machine spins the wheel and detects exactly where the imbalance is, down to the gram.

COUNTERWEIGHTS APPLIED

Weights attached at the precise points the machine identifies. Not a rough estimate. Exact.

04

VERIFY & REMOUNT

Each wheel verified on the machine after weights are applied, then remounted on your vehicle. Lug nuts torqued to spec.

05

CONFIRM & DRIVE

We confirm there's no remaining vibration before you leave. If something still feels off, we find out why before you drive away.
